BLOOD

I request to view and read DNA News Paper of today i.e. 24/02/2013 on the link "http://epaper.dnaindia.com/epapermain.aspx?pgNo=6&edcode=820009&eddate=2013-2-24" which reads as " IN BLOOD AND FLESH- Sculptor Hussaini with a sculpture of Tamil Nadu CM Jayalalithaa, made from 11 litres of frozen blood, in Chennai. The sculptor, made from 6.5 litres of Hussaini's own blood collected every three months for the past 8 years, as well as 4.5 litres of donated blood, was created to celebrate Jayalalithaa's 65th birthday, which will take place on Sunday.

I am shocked to read the news. On the one hand our hospitals and blood banks are having shortage of blood to save the life of our people but on the other hand 11 litres of blood which should have saved the life of many, has been used for making a sculptor. I have seen near and dear ones of the accidents victim or the sick people urgently needing the blood transfusion, running from pillar to post for procuring a bottle of blood to save their life.

When ever Hospitals, Blood Banks or the Voluntary organisations are arranging blood donation camps it is a difficult task to get the donors in such camps due to lack of awareness. People of our country hesitates to donate blood for a noble cause which can save the life of many. However it is a surprise that 4.5 litres of blood has been donated by the people to make a sculptor.

There are many ways other than making sculptor of blood by which one can show respect, love and affection to their loved ones. Had he used this 11 litres of blood by donating it to hospitals/ blood bank he could have many lives.

England vs India

I request the reader to read the news item at the link"www.dnaindia.com/mumbai/report_britain-best-partner-to-realise-mumbai-s-global-goals-david-cameron_1801376" the last but one paragraph of which reads like "Cameron, an avid cricket fan, after his luncheon meeting with corporate honchos, including Ratan Tata and Adi Godrej, found some time to indulge in cricket at the Cross Maidan in the early evening."  This news item was published in DNA on 18th February 2013. This has happened in Mumbai on 17th February 2013 during the visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron, the first English Premier to visit the city in 20 years.

To me this was really pleasant news. Here is a Prime Minister of a country who after finishing the serious business agenda found time to play cricket with our boys in a ground unknown to him. He has the energy of doing this. Since he has the energy, his mind, body & soul will work perfectly. Since he is fit fully he can work for the welfare of his country and his fellow country men. He will be capable to take his country forward.

Can we imagine, can we think of any of our political masters, forget about the Prime Minister, President, Chief Minister or any of the Minister playing any game like this. Our political leaders are always busy in playing dirty politics cheating us. They have time neither for doing serious business nor for playing cricket. On the other hand they do not have energy also for doing these. The present lot of leaders of our country are neck deep in corruption looting the country. They have become so powerful that they think they are above all laws of the country. This is demonstrated from the fact that since independence not even a single leader has been punished for any scam though so many scams have been reported. Almost all the leaders who are at the helm of affairs are either of 70 years of age or more. Just observe the gate of our Prime Minister it appears that he is a puppet which is being controlled by somebody else.What direction, what development of the country we can expect these lot of leaders? In almost all the front be it the development of the country, controlling the prices of essential commodities, fighting with the terrorism they have failed.

They know only two subjects, one how to loot the country and second how to get votes. They have made our people beggars. They all spend their time and energy only to provide subsidy. They will never try to create employment opportunities for the people. They know pretty well that if employment opportunities are created the people will be self dependent and will not look towards them. But instead of that if subsidy is provided to the people, they will always remain dependent on them.

But I personally feel that we have no right to blame them. Because it is not their fault that they have become our masters. We only are responsible for this sorry state of affairs. We only have elected them. At the time of election why we do'nt consider all these things and why we vote without applying our mind.

सबसे बड़ा कष्ट क्या है ?

मेरे मन में कई बार यह प्रश्न उठता है कि संसार में मनुष्य के लिये सबसे बड़ा कष्ट क्या है। हर व्यक्ति को अपना ही कष्ट ही सबसे बड़ा लगता है। उसे हमेशा ही दूसरों का कष्ट अपने से छोटा लगता है। इसलिये मुझे यह समझ नहीं आ रहा था कि कौन सा कष्ट, किसका कष्ट इस पृथ्वी पर सबसे बड़ा है। अचानक एक दिन मुझे महाभारत की एक घटना याद आ गयी। घटना कुछ इस तरह है। 

महाभारत की लड़ाई समाप्त हो गयी थी।  कौरोवों के सौ में से निन्यानवे भाइयों की हत्या हो चुकी थी। केवल एक युयुत्सु बच गया था क्यों कि उसने लड़ाई में हिस्सा ही नहीं लिया था। वह लड़ाई को अनुचित समझता था एवं उसे लगता था कि पाण्डव सही है। जब यह समाचार गांधारी के पास पहुंचा तो वह बहुत ही दुखी हो गयी तथा अपने आँखों की पट्टी खोलकर कुरुक्षेत्र के मैदान के तरफ दौड़ पड़ी। आपको यह तो ज्ञात ही है की गांधारी ने अपने विवाह के समय से ही अपने आँखों पर पट्टी बांध रखी थी  जिसे उसने इससे पहले सिर्फ एक अवसर पर हटाया था।

वह वदहवास दौड़ती हुई युद्ध के मैदान में पहुँच गयी तथा करुण विलाप करने लगी। उसकी विलाप ऐसी थी कि किसी के भी ह्रदय को द्रवित कर सकती थी। वहां उपस्थित सभी का ह्रदय करुणा से भर गया। सभी परेशांन  हो गये। युद्ध के मैदान का दृश्य बड़ा ही मार्मिक हो गया। जब यह दृश्य श्रीकृष्ण ने देखा तो वह चिंतित हो गये। उन्होंने ने सोचा कि यदि यह दृश्य युधिष्ठिर ने देख लिया तो अनर्थ हो जायेगा। उसे विरक्ति हो जायेगी और वह राज्य छोड़ कर चला जायेगा। उसे राजगद्दी तथा राजमुकुट से भी विरक्ति हो जायेगी। यह सोच कर श्रीकृष्ण ने गांधारी को बहुत जोरों की कृत्रिम भूख लगा दी। यह भूख इतने जोरों की थी कि गांधारी की सहनशक्ति जबाब दे गयी और वह वहीँ युद्ध के मैदान में ही कुछ खाने के लिये ढूढ़ने लगी। लेकिन जिस मैदान में इतना भीषण महाभारत युद्ध हुआ हो वहां खाने को क्या मिलता। यह देखकर श्रीकृष्ण ने वहां पर एक कृत्रिम बेर का पेड़ पैदा कर दिया जिसमे बड़े-बड़े पके हुए मीठे बेर लटके हुए थे। यह देखकर गांधारी की भूख और बढ़ गयी और वह तेजी से उस पेड़ के तरफ बढ़ गयी। पेड़ के नीचे खड़े होकर हाथ ऊपर कर बेर तोड़ने का प्रयास करने लगी। लेकिन उसके हाथ ऊपर करते ही श्रीकृष्ण के चमत्कार से बेर के फल थोड़े से ऊपर उठ गये जहाँ उसका हाथ नहीं पहुँच पा रहा था। आखिर इधर-उधर देखकर उसने एक शव को खींचकर उस पेड़ के नीचे रखा तथा उस पर चढ़ कर फिर बेर तोड़ने का प्रयास करने लगी। उसने यह भी ध्यान नहीं दिया कि वह शव उसी के एक पुत्र का था। लेकिन फिर इस बार भी वही हुआ फल तोड़े से और ऊपर उठ गये। उसने दूसरा, तीसरा, चौथा और आखिर में अपने निन्यानवें पुत्रों का शव एक जगह ढेड कर दिया और उसके ऊपर चढ़ कर बेर का फल खाने के लिये तोड़ने का प्रयास करने लगी।

यह देखकर श्रीकृष्ण उसके पास आये और बोले की हे! माता यह आप क्या कर रही हैं? ये सारे शव जो आपने एकत्रित कर रखा है वह आपके पुत्रों का है और आप उस पर चढ़कर खाने का प्रयत्न कर रही है। कोई भी देखेगा तो क्या कहेगा? यह तो लज्जाजनक स्थिति है। आपको ऐसा करते हुए शर्म नहीं आती।

यह सुनकर गांधारी ने कुछ इस तरह कहा:-
वासुदेव जरा कष्टं, कष्टं निर्धन जीवनं !
पुत्र शोक महाकष्टं, कष्टातिकष्टं  परमाक्षुधा !!

अर्थात, हे श्रीकृष्ण बुढ़ापा बहुत कष्टकर होता है, लेकिन गरीबी में जीवन बिताना उससे बड़ा कष्ट होता है। किसी के पुत्र का मृत्यु होना उसके लिये बहुत ही तकलीफदेह है, किन्तु भूख सभी कष्टों में सबसे बड़ा कष्ट है। भूखा प्राणी कोई भी अपराध कर सकता है, कोई भी पाप कर सकता है, यह तो सभी जानते हैं। भूख ने ही हमारे देश के एक बहुत ही बड़े भूभाग के लोगों को नक्सलवादी बना दिया है। मै इस विषय पर बहुत कुछ नहीं कहना चाहता हूँ।

मेरा सभी से निवेदन है कि भूखों कि सहायता अवश्य करें, उसे खाना जरूर खिलाएं अगर आपको कभी भी कहीं भी कोई भूखा मिल जाये।

अंत भला तो सब भला 

कई बार हमारे मन में प्रश्न उठता है कि हमने तो जो किया वो अपने समझ से संस्था के भले के लिये किया परन्तु फिर भी मेरे ऊपर शक किया जा रहा है उसी काम के लिये मुझे सजा दी जा रही है। मेरे मन में भी इस प्रश्न को लेकर बहुत ही परेशानी थी। मै भी इसका समाधान ढूंढ़ रहा था, कि अचानक मुझे महाभारत की एक कथा याद आ गयी। कथा कुछ इस तरह है।

भीष्म पितामह शर शैय्या पर लेटे हुए सूर्य के उत्तरायण में जाने की प्रतीक्षा कर रहे थे ताकि अपने शारीर का त्याग कर सकें। उन्हें अपने पिता से इच्छा मृत्यु का वरदान मिला हुआ था जिस कारण से वो अपने शारीर का त्याग अपनी इच्छा से कर सकते थे। उन दिनों युद्ध में भी मर्यादा का ध्यान रखा जाता था जिस कारण से सूर्यास्त के बाद प्रतिदिन युद्ध बन्द हो जाता था तथा पुनः अगले दिन सूर्योदय के बाद शुरू होता था।

प्रतिदिन संध्या समय युद्ध के समाप्ति के बाद पांडव और कौरव दोनों भीष्म पितामह से मिलने आते थे, उनका हाल-चाल पूछते थे। एक दिन शाम के समय पाण्डव, कौरव दोनों वासुदेव कृष्ण के साथ पितामह से मिलने गये। पितामह ने सबों को देखकर कहा कि वो अकेले में कृष्ण से कुछ बात करना चाहते हैं, इसलिए बाकी सभी कृष्ण को छोड़ कर चले जांए। उनके इतना कहने पर कृष्ण को छोड़ कर सभी लोग चले गये। सभी के चले जाने के बाद श्री कृष्ण और पितामह के बीच निम्नलिखित वार्तालाप हुई।

पितामह-वासुदेव, मुझे अपने पिता से इच्छा-मृत्यु का वरदान मिला हुआ है, मै जब भी चाहूँ मृत्यु को प्राप्त कर सकता हूँ। लेकिन मेरे मन में मरने की इच्छा ही नहीं जागृत हो रही है और मै इस शरशय्या पर कष्ट भोग रहा हूँ। मैंने अपने जीवन में कभी भी जाने-अनजाने भी किसी का कोई नुकसान नहीं किया है, किसी को भी कोई तकलीफ नहीं दी है, कोई पाप किया हो ऐसा भी स्मरण नहीं हो रहा है। फिर मै इतना कष्ट क्यों भोग रहा  हूँ। यही प्रश्न कई दिनों से मेरे मन में आ रहा है। आप तो सर्व ज्ञानी है, आप मुझ पर कृपा करें तथा मुझे इसका कारण बताएं।

कृष्ण- पितामह, आपको तो पता ही है कि आप आठ वसु में से एक वसु है। (वसु स्वर्ग में होते है, वो पृथ्वी पर नहीं आते, लेकिन भीष्म पितामह पृथ्वी पर एक श्राप के कारण आये थे) आपका पुनर्जन्म नहीं है। इस पृथ्वी पर सभी जीवों का पुनर्जन्म होता है, इसलिये अगर किसी कारण से उनके कर्मो का फल अगर उन्हें इस जन्म में नहीं मिलता है, तो अगले जन्म में मिल जाता है। चूँकि आपका पुनर्जन्म नहीं है, इसलिये आपको अपना हिसाब-किताब इसी जन्म में बड़ाबड करके जाना है।

पितामह-जैसा की मैंने आपसे कहा है कि मुझे स्मरण नहीं है की मैंने कभी भी किसी का अहित किया हो, फिर मै यह कष्ट क्यों भोग रहा हूँ?

कृष्ण-पितामह शायद आपको स्मरण नहीं है, कि आप एक दिन हस्तिनापुर के राजमार्ग पर भ्रमण करने गये  थे, यह उसी दिन की घटना है।

पितामह-प्रातः भ्रमण तो मै प्रतिदिन करता था, लेकिन मुझे इस विषय में कोई भी अस्वाभाविक बात याद नहीं आ रही है।

कृष्ण-एक दिन जब आप प्रातः भ्रमण कर रहे थे, तो एक रेंगने वाला कीड़ा हस्तिनापुर के राजमार्ग पर रेंगकर एक तरफ से दूसरे तरफ जाने का प्रयास कर रहा था। आपने उसे अपनी छड़ी के दूसरे सिरे से उठाकर राजमार्ग के दूसरे तरफ फ़ेंक दिया था।

पितामह-यह तो मैंने उसका भला किया था, हस्तिनापुर राजमार्ग बहुत ही व्यस्त रहता है, उस पर सैनिक, हाथी, घोड़े, रथ इत्यादि आते-जाते रहते हैं। मैंने सोचा कि वह या तो किसी के पैरों के नीचे आ जायेगा या उसे रथ इत्यादि के पहिये कुचल देंगे और वो मर जायेगा। इसमें मेरी क्या गलती थी।

कृष्ण-यह आप सोचते हैं, की आपने उसका भला किया था, लेकिन आपने उसे फेंकने के बाद देखा नहीं कि वह कीड़ा गिरा कहाँ। वह कीड़ा एक काँटों की झाड़ी पर उल्टा पीठ के बल गिर गया और उसके पीठ में कांटे चुभ गये। वह बाहर निकलने के लिये जितना ही छटपटाता उतना ही और कांटे चुभ जाते। आखिर वहीँ उसकी मृत्यु हो गयी। और वह मरते-मरते आपको श्राप दे गया। वह कह रहा था कि मै तो चुपचाप अपने रास्ते जा रहा था, पता नहीं इस व्यक्ति को क्या सूझी कि इसने मुझे जमीन से उठा कर काँटों की झाड़ी पर पटक दिया। इश्वर करे इसकी मृत्यु भी ऐसे ही इतने ही कष्टों से हो। इसलिये आप यह कष्ट भोग रहे हैं।
यह सुनकर पितामह चुप हो गये।

सिर्फ अपने आप यह सोच लेना कि मैंने जो काम किया वह किसी के भले के लिये किया, काफी नहीं है, यह भी सुनिश्चित करना चाहिये की उसका परिणाम भी भला हो।

Hanging of Afzal Guru

How irresponsible is our Media, both print and Electronic. Yesterday i.e. on 9th February 2013, I switched on the Television at 6.30 in the morning, which I normally do everyday. The news which was being read was the speculation about hanging of Afzal Guru. Through out the day and up to 10.30 PM all the News channels were continuously broadcasting the news of hanging of Afzal Guru. Even to day morning the same story was continuing. Even today's News Paper is full of of the same story. Three-fourth of the News paper was full of the same story.

It appears the in the country of 120 crores of population spread from Kashmir to Kanyakumari nothing else has happened on 9th February, except the hanging of a terrorist i.e. Afzal Guru. He was a terrorist and was hanged for a terrorist attack i.e. attack on parliament. Why the media is making him a hero, I can not understand.

After the hanging many groups including the so called human rights activist has become active suddenly. Even some of them have started arguing that he did not get a fair trial, as he was not represented by a good lawyer. I do not want to argue on the merit of the subject but I do not understand why they were sleeping for so many years. Why these groups did not act on time? Why they did not arrange him a capable lawyer during the course of trial? Is it their normal style of functioning to create problem when the act is already done.

All the political leaders were also discussing about the subject, some in favour and some against it. Is it also a political subject. Whether punishing a terrorist for a crime of terrorism is a political subject? Both the Congress and the Bharatiya Janta Party are on the same footing. Leaders both the parties are having the wrong impression that the people our country will get carried away by such foolish statements. Of course so far as the degree is concerned congress is worse because they are in the power and so their leaders have become arrogant. They feel they are not accountable, answerable to any body. They will learn their lesson in 2014 General Election.

सोम शर्मा पितु: कथा

During my school days I read one story titled "सोम शर्मा पितु: कथा" . Now the argument going on between the political leaders of our country particularly the leaders of Bhartiya Janta Party reminds me the same story. Every body is arguing about the Prime Ministerial candidate for the 2014 General Election. Bhartiya Janta Party is in a great hurry in declaring their candidate as if they are sure of coming to power during the 2014 General Elections. 

They are taking us for granted. They feel that we are desperate in bringing them back in power. They feel that they are going to win three fourth seats in parliament. They are under estimating the voters of our country. They are playing all the tricks including taking shelter of sadhus and sanyasis.  I do not understand what saints have to do with politics. What I understand about the saints is that those people are called saints who have nothing to do with the worldly affairs. If that be the true what they have to do with the politics. Leaders of Bhatiya Janta party are living in fool's paradise. 

It is true that Congress is also not in a better position. They are loosing their credibility very fast because of the rampant corruption and mismanagement. The irresponsible statements of the arrogant leaders is adding fuel to the fire. They are not concerned about the common man of the country. They do not even understand the sufferings which the common man of this country is undergoing.

But it does not mean that the credibility of Bhartiya Janta Party has improved. So it is not known that what for their leaders are fighting among themselves.

Congrats Mr. Pratip Chaudhari

I am very happy to read the interview of Mr Pratip Chaudhari, Chairman of State Bank of India in DNA dated 7th February 2013.

At least here is a Chairman of a Bank who can express his views on the policy matters very frankly. I admire his courage. For what ever reason he is doing it, I do not want to argue that but his efforts should be appreciated. Though on earlier occasion he was rebuked by the Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India when he expressed is views about CRR. But this did not deter him for expressing his views.

Otherwise all the Chairman of all the Nationalised Banks are simply "His Masters Voice". This one will understand when he will listen the views expressed by them after every Monetary Policy announced by the Reserve Bank of India. Without applying their mind all of them will simply praise and appreciate the policy of Reserve Bank of India. I do not understand why they are afraid in expressing their views. I wonder whether they have any views. 

If the Chairman of a Nationalised Bank does not have his independent views and does not express it publicly if he has any view on policy matters he is incompetent, not capable of becoming Chairman of Bank. On the other hand he is not doing justice either with the public or with the Govt. of India, who are the owners of these Banks. 

Under this situation at least here is a Chairman who expresses his views on every policy matter boldly whether it is liked by any body or not.

Sexual assault of a lady in a moving Bus in Delhi

Suddenly I have observed that since the captioned incident occurred in Delhi, be it a print media or electronic media news of rape and sexual assault is being reported from all the nook and corner of the country. All the News Papers are full of such reports. Not only that even the 24*7 News Channels are full of such news. Are we not feeling ashamed after reading or watching these news items. Are we living in a society called a civilised one.

 I was trying to understand why suddenly there is flood of such news in the News Papers and the Electronic Media. There can be two reasons of it.

First: In reality such incidents have increased. If it is so, shame on us and the police of our country. Are we living in a civilized society. Is it the land where Ram, Krishna, Budhha, Mahavir, Vivekanand was born. All their teachings have gone waste. What culture we have imbibed. Are we not supposed to allow the ladies of our country to live with dignity and pride. What right we have got to insult them. What our police are doing? Should they not be punished for failing in their duties? Why they have not been able to give them adequate security? Why the criminals are not afraid of law of our country? 

Second: The incidents were happening earlier also but the same were not being reported. Now suddenly the print and electronic media have become hyper active and are reporting many incidents. If it is so, shame on the media as why they were not reporting such cases earlier and why suddenly they have started reporting. It reflects that they are not interested in public at large but they are interested only in increasing their circulation and the TRP.

Thank God We have a Supreme Court & Press

Thank God we have a Supreme Court in our country.  Had it not been there I feel there would have been anarchy in our country. Our political masters and bureaucracy including the police are so indifferent that they do'nt bother for the common people of our country. To stress my views I will quote two news items which I read yesterday and today.

First: Yesterday it was reported in the News Paper that the Supreme Court had called for the details regarding the missing children in our country. Most of the states have not responded to the notice. As if it was not enough most of the Chief Secretaries of the states have not presented themselves in the Supreme Court on the date. Our bureaucrats are so arrogant that they think they are next to God and do not care even for the Supreme Court. Due to this the Supreme Court was very harsh. Let us hope that they mend their ways. At least let them have the fear of the Supreme Court.

Second one: Yesterday only it was reported that a six month old baby girl was admitted in a Mumbai hospital who was bleeding. Inspite of doctors insisting that the baby was sexually police refused to lodge an FIR on one pretext or other. Only when the matter was highlighted in the press they have agreed to lodge an FIR. God only knows what will be the outcome of the investigation when the FIR itself has been lodged so reluctantly.

But the million dollar question which remains unanswered is why our machinery is not working on its own. Why they need a Supreme Court or a Press to do what they are supposed to do.

Sexual assault of a lady in a moving Bus in Delhi

It is disgusting to read every day in the News Paper that still argument is going on about the age of the minor and we are unable to reach at any conclusion. I do not understand that what for this argument is going on. Police also have very cleverly charged that all the horrific act of crime was committed by the minor only whereas the other five accused are charged for the less grave acts. This appears to be a well thought out plan by the Police.

The apathy of our Political masters  who are the law makers of our country about this subject  is also intriguing. They are unable to give their clear views. Even the hurriedly passed ordinance is silent on this subject.

The matter has gone to the Supreme Court of our country. Let us wait for their views on the subject. But this is also surprising that our Political masters can not have their views on complex subject and we have to depend on the Supreme Court. Supreme Court is not supposed to make laws. But the institution which is supposed to frame the laws is failing in their duties then it has become necessary for the Supreme Court to intervene.

In my opinion the nature of crime committed by the accused should decide whether he should be treated as minor or not in the eyes of law irrespective of his age. The person who is capable of sexually assaulting a lady can not be treated as minor irrespective of his age. Can we not have a law accordingly without changing the definition of minor and without having a criteria of age limit. How can one treat a person as minor who can commit such a horrific act. If one is committing a well thought out and planned murder for a motive should he be treated as minor irrespective of the age. I can understand a death caused by an accidental action but not a planned murder.

Hence I feel that the nature of crime committed should be the criteria for the trial of the accused. 

जो होना है वो हो कर रहेगा

एक जंगल में कई सारे पशु पक्षी रहते थे। एक दिन उनके मन में बिचार आया कि उनके साथ अन्याय हो रहा है।उनके जंगल में भी प्रजातंत्र होना चाहिए। ये अन्याय है की हमेशा सिंह ही राजा होता है। एक सिंह मरता है तो उसका बेटा राजा हो जाता है। सभी पशु पक्षियों की सभा बुलाई गई। उनके बीच यह प्रस्ताव रखा गया। सबों को प्रस्ताव बहुत ही अच्छा लगा। परन्तु समस्या यह थी कि इसके लिए सिंह का राजी होना जरुरी था। सबों ने मिलकर यह निर्णय लिया कि पहले सिंह को राजी किया जाये क्योंकि  बिना उसके राजी हुए तो बात आगे बढ़ ही नहीं सकती। कुछ पशु पक्षी मिलकर सिंह के पास गए तथा अपना प्रस्ताव उसके  पास रखा। अप्रत्याशित बात यह हुई कि सिंह तुरत राजी हो गया।

अब समस्या यह थी कि मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी किसे नियुक्त किया जाये क्यों कि निष्पक्ष चुनाव सम्पन्न करने के लिए एक ईमानदार  मुख्य चुनाव अधिकारी की आवश्यकता होती है। कई नामों पर विचार करने के बाद यह निश्चय हुआ कि यमराजजी को इस काम के लिए नियुक्त किया जाये। यमराजजी के नाम पर सहमति इसलिए हुई क्यों कि उनके नजर में गरीब, अमीर, कमजोर, ताकतवर सब बराबर है।  गरुड़जी चूँकि विष्णुजी के वाहन हैं उन्हें इस काम की जिम्मेवारी दी गयी। गरुड जी ने जब यमराजजी से निवेदन किया तो वो तुरंत राजी हो गए तथा उन्होंने आश्वाशन दिया की वो नियत समय पर पहुँच जायेंगे।

नियत दिन एवं समय पर यमराजजी आकर अपने आसन पर विराजमान हो गए। जंगल के सभी पशु पक्षी धीरे-धीरे जमा होने लगे। इतने में यमराजजी की नजर एक छोटे से तोते के उपर पड़ गयी। वो लगातार एक टक तोते को देखने लगे। तोते ने भी यमराजजी को अपने तरफ देखते हुए देखा। यमराजजी लगातार एक टक तोते को ही देख रहे थे। यमराजजी के नजर से तो किसी को भी कंपकपी छूट सकती है, फिर वह तो छोटा सा तोता ही था। वह बहुत ही भयभीत हो गया।

डर के मारे वह गरूडजी के पास पहुंचा तथा अपने भय की बात उन्हें बतायी। गरूडजी ने उससे पूछा कि तुम मेरे पास क्यों आये हो और मुझसे क्या चाहते हो। गरूडजी आप तीनो लोक में सबसे तेज उड़ने वाले पक्षी है इसलिए अपने पंखों के बीच मुझे दबा कर किसी बहुत ही दूर द्वीप पर छोड़ दें जहाँ तक यमराजजी की नजर नहीं पहुंचे। गरूडजी ने कहा ये तो मेरे लिए बहुत ही आसान कम है, मै अभी तुम्हे वहां छोड़ कर आता हूँ। इतना कह कर गरूडजी ने उसे अपने एक पंख में दबा लिया और कुछ ही मिनटों में उसे वहां छोड़ कर आ गये।

इस बीच यमराजजी का ध्यान इधर-उधर भटक गया था। जब थोड़ी देर बाद उन्होंने तोते को ढूंढा तो तोता कहीं नहीं दिखा। फिर उन्हें ध्यान आया कि वो तोता यमराजजी के साथ कुछ खुसर-फुसर कर रहा था। उन्होंने यमराजजी को अपने पास बुलाया तथा पूछा कि वो तोता जो आपके पास खुसर-फुसर कर रहा था वो कहाँ गया।

 यमराजजी ने उनसे पूछा की आप उसके बारे में क्यों पूछ रहे हैं, वो आप की नज़रों से डर गया था क्योंकि आप जबसे यहाँ आये हैं लगातार उसे ही घूरे जा रहे थे। मैं आपको कारण तो बता दूंगा लेकिन पहले आप मुझे यह बताइये कि आपने उस तोते के साथ क्या किया। उसने मुझसे सहायता मांगी कि मैं उसे कहीं बहुत दूर किसी द्वीप पर छोड़ दूं। इसलिये मैं ने उसे उस द्वीप पर छोड़ दिया है।

यह सुनकर यमराजजी ने कहा की गरूडजी आपको बहुत-बहुत धन्यवाद। मैं आपका आभारी हूँ। मैं बहुत ही परेशान था और इसलिए बार-बार उसको देख रहा था कि इतना छोटा तोता इतनी जल्दी इतने दूर द्वीप पर कैसे  पहुंचेगा, क्यों की अभी से पांच मिनट बाद उस तोते की मृत्यु उसी द्वीप पर लिखी हुई है। अगर आपने सहायता नहीं की होती तो वह तोता वहां कभी नहीं पहुँच सकता था तथा उस स्थिति में भाग्य का लिखा गलत हो जाता।

Sexual assault of a lady in a moving Bus in Delhi

 I am closely following this case right from the beginning by reading the News Papers and watching the Television news. Since beginning many agitations have taken place. Every tom dick and herry including some so called spiritual gurus and  our political masters of all the parties are commenting on the subject. 

It appears that the people of our country have become insensitive. They do not think about the sufferings which the lady had undergone and post facto her family is suffering. Even the ruling party and the govtoernment is no exception. Every body is talking about the change in the law. No body is taking about the implementation part. Implementing agency i.e. the Police will remain the same. Who will change their attitude, their approach towards such crimes. What ever is the law if the implementing agency is week situation is not going to change. Even the Govt. in a hurry has taken a half hearted steps by issuing an ordinance only to save their face.

If I am correct, I understand that before assaulting the lady these six people had beaten and robbed a carpenter, who approached the police for lodging a complaint. He was turned away on the pretext that the place of occurrence was falling under the jurisdiction of some other police station. Had the police lodged his complaint and taken action of tracing the said Bus, this horrible incident would not have taken place.

We understand that even the PCR vans were arguing about the jurisdiction of Police Station and precious time was lost in the process.

Hence it should be made mandatory for the Police to lodge the complaint whom the public is approaching irrespective of the place of occurrence of the crime whether it falls under their jurisdiction or not. The said police station can forward  the complaint subsequently to the concerned police station. If any police is refusing to do so he should be made accountable and he should charged for the crime and action should be taken against him. If the provision is made that no police station will refuse lodging an FIR it will be very helpful.

Govt. also should concentrate more on enforcement agency instead of doing the lip service.

Cause and effect theory

Cause and effect theory has three principles as follows:-

1.Each and every cause has its own and independent effect.

2.Effect of one cause can not nullify the effect of another cause.

3.If for any reason the effect of one cause can not happent in this life it has to be carried to our next birth.

This theory was very helpful to me while working in the Bank. I was always wondering why when one person has done 100 good jobs he is being punished for one mistake. Now coming to the working in the bank let us analyse all the above three principles.

Third principle will not apply as we are not sure whether we will have rebirth or not. If at all we will have rebirth the possibility of joining the same institution is very remote. Hence let us ignore the third principle.

Now coming to the first two principles. According to the first principle if one has done a good job the effect will be good. We are are expected to do a good job and that is what for we all are being paid every month. Every one is expected to do a good job. However if one has done a bit extra than others then he will be appreciated rewarded in some way or other. But at the same time if a wrong job has been done and a loss has been caused to the institution the effect will be bad and he will be punished.

As per the second principle since the effect of one cause can not be nullified by the effect of another cause hence both the effect has to happen.

The effect of joy, happiness does not last very long. Say if any body has offered you good dinner or sweet the joy will last for few hours only. If one has got a reward or promoton the effect will remain for few days. On the contrary the effect of punishment or pain will last for long. If you have fallen down or met with an accident the effect will last for few weeks, months and some times even for life life long. This is law of nature.  This is the main reason that we forget the good effect very soon but we remember bad effect for a long time.

Hence I urge all my friends to work very carefully and not to commit any mistake. Please do not come under pressure of any body who soever he is as when the problem will come they will not come to your rescue. Hence take care of yourself.
